Dr. Gissou Golpira (Owner)

Dr. Golpira is a graduate from UBC with Bachelor of Science degree (B. Sc.) in 2006 and Doctorate in Dental Medicine Degree (D.M.D) in 2010. After graduation, before opening her own practice, Dr. Golpira had been working in areas of Vancouver, Coquitlam, New Westminster, and Langley. In 2017, her dream came true by opening her own practice, Lougheed Family Dental.

She takes the time to educate her patients, answer their questions, and discuss treatment options that are both effective and affordable, while recognizing that each patient’s needs are unique. She is passionate about what she does and truly enjoys every aspect of dentistry—from relieving a patient’s pain to creating an artistically beautiful, natural-looking smile that can be truly life-changing.

Dentistry is an ever-evolving field, and Dr. Golpira’s philosophy is to practise quality dentistry by utilizing the most advanced technology, techniques, and materials. She built Lougheed Family Dental on this very belief, incorporating cutting-edge technology to provide patients with exceptional, modern dental care.

She is a member of FORCE International Orthodontics study club, American Academy of Clear Aligners, Aligntech Institute, BIOCLEAR training centre, Oral implantology study club, CEREC DOCS, Canadian Dental Association, British Columbia Dental Association, College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia, and Pacific training Institute for Facial Aesthetics.

When not in the office, Dr. Golpira is spending time with her family. She is happily married and has a son and a daughter. She enjoys an active lifestyle including working out, biking, walking, skiing, playing tennis, and hiking numerous beautiful trails of BC.
