Dr. Stephen Wong

Dr. Wong pursued his education in dentistry at McGill University in Montreal where he trained under clinical instructors and embraced their compassionate and empathetic approach to dental care. After four years in Montreal he graduated with distinction from his dental training. Prior to his dental education, Dr. Wong attended the University of British Columbia majoring in Pharmacology and graduated with a Bachelor of Science with distinction.

Upon completion at McGill University, Dr. Wong continued advancing his education at the University of Connecticut Advanced Education in the General Dentistry residency program where he gained further experience working with medically compromised patients, restorative and prosthodontic treatments, oral surgery, emergency dental management, and sedation.

After being on the east coast, Dr. Wong chose to resettle back in Vancouver and is proud to be a part of ­­­­Lougheed Family Dental. In addition to practicing the scientific and artistic aspects of dentistry, he is passionate about providing the utmost quality of care for his patients to ensure their comfort and trust. He takes time to understand each patient’s needs and works with them to achieve and maintain their oral health. He continues to advance his knowledge in dentistry through specialized courses to keep current with the best dental treatment options, and provides treatments including oral surgery, wisdom teeth extraction, root canal treatments, restorative and prosthetic treatments, internal bleaching, and pediatric dentistry. Dr. Wong also provides Botox treatments for therapeutic and cosmetic purposes, including Botox treatments for TMJ issues.

Dr. Wong is a member of the British Columbia Dental Association, College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia, and the Canadian Dental Association. Dr. Wong is also a graduate of the Pacific Training Institute for Facial Aesthetics & Therapeutics.

In his spare time, Dr. Wong enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to concerts, playing sports, camping, and hiking with his dog.
